"PARENTS OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE VICTIMS" Supporting Parents of Child Sexual Abuse Victims is our mission. Whether a child is molested, raped or anything in between, these acts are devastating to them and those that love them. Our two youngest children were raped repeatedly, their perpatrators used sadistic torture tactics to assure their continued silence. The effects of CSA on a child can be disabling, while others seemingly are unaffected! You can be sure that ALL who are abused are affected to some degree! The results are as varied as the intensity of each that may occur, anything from PTSD, depression, disassociation to the more severe effects of attachment and personality disorders and disassociative identity disorder, now known as DID or MPD (multiple personality disorder). Initially, CSA can become overwhelming for the parent. The thought of a beloved child having to live with any of these effects can be a frightening one!! To gain support and knowlege is a parents best defense! You can become empowered through knowlege! YOU are the key to your childs' success in healing. | This site is for parents, grandparents or any caregiver who finds their child has been sexually abused. When a child discloses to you, that moment becomes etched in your mind and will forever remain! You immediately are sent into a state of shock and find yourself confused, not knowing where to turn or who to go to in order to "fix" what has happened. Gradually you find that this feeling wears off only to leave behind a pain so intense that you question your ability to survive...you WILL survive! Sharing with others who've experianced the same can help ease your burden. Please make yourself at home and look around our site.
